SagguBiyyam Upma(Sabudana Upma)

Recipe Source: Prathiba Konda
Cooking Time: 15min

Ingredients:

Saggubiyyam/ Sabudana - 1 cup
Peanuts - 3/4cup
Potato - 1 small
Green chilli - 4number

Procedure:

Wash Sabudhana twice and drain the water completely.

Just sprinkle 1 tbsp of water and cover it with lid and let it rest for 4 to 5 hours....every one hour check the sabudana and sprinkle little water if required...sabudana should be little wet. If you like you can add 1 tbsp of yogurt in the middle and mix well. Finally after they soaked well, the quantity will be doubled or even a bit higher and they should be soft.

Now Dry roast peanuts and make into a fine powder.

Add this peanut powder to sabudana and mix well...and set aside.

Now take a wider pan, put oil and when it is hot enough add 1 tsp of mustered seeds, 1 tsp of cumin seeds and when they crackle add potato and fry for 5 min then add greenchilli and curry leaves..

When they are almost cooked add sabudana, mix well.

Cover it with lid and let it cook till they are well cooked.

Variation:
You can add coconut powder instead of adding pea-nut powder.
