Jeera Rice




Ingredients:

Un-cooked Rice: 2 cups
Cumin Seeds (Jeera) – 1 tbsp
Green Chilli – 3 or 4
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
Sliced Onions – ½ onion
Salt
Oil – 2 tbsp
Water – 4 cups

Procedure:

Take vessel, add oil, when it is hot enough, add cumin seeds, when they start spluttering, add green chilli, onion and fry till onions are soft. Then add ginger garlic paste and sauté for 3 to 4 min.


Now add coriander leaves and mint leaves.


Now add rice along with water, adjust salt, cover it with lid and cook in a pressure cooker for 2 or 3 whistles.


Open the lid after 10 min., jeera rice is ready to serve.



Serve hot with some Curry.
